At Home with Group Two: Laura Britcher

Senior Account ManagerMany of you have seen our Meet the Team page, chatted with one of us on the phone, received our fabulous newsletter via email, or maybe you’ve caught one of our builder seminars or webinars. But despite our continuous efforts to stay connected to our builders, how well do you really know our team?

Each of us has our own special expertise we add to our master marketing equation, and we also each have our own likes, dislikes and qualities that make us unique! That’s why we’re introducing our brand new blog series, At Home with Group Two! It’ll get you up close and personal with each member of our team, so you don’t just get to know us as an agency, but as the super cool individuals that are part of it! And who better to kick things off with than the fabulous, Laura Britcher.

Meet, Laura, Senior Account Manager at Group Two!

How long have you been part of the Group Two team?

7 years back in May! It’s rare to see people spending longer than a year at one company these days. Group Two was my first job out of college, and I’ve never left.  I feel very fortunate to have found a second home that i’m happy in and don’t see myself selling any time soon! 🙂

What do you really do on a daily basis?

I email…A LOT!  More importantly, I treat each day as an opportunity to build upon the relationships I have with builders, my team in the office, our partners, etc. Every day is spent brainstorming, strategizing and thoughtfully understanding each builder’s challenges, and helping to provide solutions so they can meet their goals no matter how big or small. I also try to get in a good laugh at least once, which isn’t hard with our crew!

What’s your favorite thing about working at Group Two?

I love the family we have created here.  We’re a special, close-knit group and I think everyone we work with feels that energy, too.

I love how each day presents new challenges, and most of all, I love how I’m continuously learning, growing and helping others.  Is it strange that I genuinely want to come to work every day??

What’s one thing your dream home would have to have?

A big serene outdoor space, whether it’s a balcony with gorgeous views, or a large backyard with gardens.  Natural light is a deal breaker for me, too!

What’s your biggest workday motivation?

Helping others, whether it’s brainstorming new ideas for a builder with a

struggling community, or a team member who is feeling down and needs some extra support.  I definitely want to be a resource for others.  It’s fulfilling to leave the office at the end of the day knowing you’ve contributed something positive to someone’s life!

How would your Group Two team members describe you?

Hmmm.  I would hope kind, compassionate, thoughtful, dependable.  Definitely predictable and always on time.  Haha!

What’s your most interesting hobby?

Yoga and meditation are two daily practices I prioritize. They’re not super interesting to others, but they definitely shift and evolve my perspective of the world, so each day presents something new and beautiful!

Who is one famous person you’d love to meet?

Ellen!  She paved her own path in life and is kind-hearted and hilarious .  I’d love to grab coffee or a drink with her!

What TV show do you most relate to?

I don’t watch a ton of TV, however, I loved Parenthood. The family relationships were realistic, deep and relatable. I felt for every character and cried often, but loved every second!

If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would buy?

My family recently purchased a lake house where I’ve been spending most weekends, so a dream of mine would be to buy a home right on the lake.  Any builders interested in volunteering? 🙂

What’s something you love about working with home builders?

I love how every builder faces unique situations based on a variety of factors (location, market, staff, etc.)  Although many builders generally find themselves in similar scenarios, each builder truly is unique.  I love getting to know them as real people too, not just builders!  They have families, interests, and passions outside of work. I find that getting to know builders on a more personal level not only helps with the business goals we’re trying to achieve, but really strengthens our relationship.
